The “WHITE on WHITE” exhibition explores the symbolism of the color white as a combination of all the colors of the visible spectrum of our vision, as well as a symbol in our culture and psychology of purity and clarity, symbolizing transparency and clarity. 

White is the color of neutrality, of white flags, also linked to innocence, purity, and virtue. In summary, white is a color rich in symbolism and meaning, evoking a wide range of emotions and concepts in different cultural and social contexts.

I wanted to propose the challenge of creating works in which the color white was the common thread to three magnificent artists; Esther Rosa, Fernando Cuétara, and Alvaro Montañes, each contributing extraordinary works celebrating the power of the color white in contemporary art.

Esther Rosa, who has accompanied me since the kreislerart.com launch exhibition in the spring of 2015, continues to amaze us with her delicacy and expressive strength. In her works, she reinterprets simple materials like paper that she herself produces, reflecting a unique beauty, the result of her transition from psychology to art.

Fernando Cuétara presents dynamic works that play with light and the naked canvas, incorporating technological elements with a minimalist aesthetic. His approach seeks to highlight the inherent expressiveness of the material itself, without altering or reproducing its environment.

Meanwhile, Alvaro Montañes, a Uruguayan artist based in Buenos Aires, offers works where white is not just a color, but his working material. Through cuts and layering of white foamboard, he creates works that generate an optical-kinetic experience of great beauty.

I particularly like how we have achieved harmony among all their languages and the works of each of them, generating a harmonious conversation that we invite you to enjoy in this exhibition.
